The purpose of this road race is to help raise funds for the Kid's Outdoors scholarship program while we highlight a few of the wonderful amenities that Clayton and Henry County, Georgia have to offer in a fun and healthy atmosphere. The 15K course was certified and submitted to the USA Track & Field organization in June 2008 by Course Measurer, Woody Cornwell. It is one of only five USATF certified 15K race courses in Georgia. The other certified Georgia 15K courses are the Peachtree City Classic 15K and 3 courses for the Chickamauga Chase 15K. Mr. Cornwell also certified the 5K course in 2008. The 5K course was re-worked and re-certified in June 2009 by Course Measurer, Jack Grosko. The new route allow for a better running experience and reduces the impact on vehicular traffic and residents of the host neighborhoods.
